RESOLUTION NO 9167 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR THE DEPUTY CHIEF POSITION <br />WHEREAS, Deputy Chief Steven Menard has submitted his resignation <br />effective November 27, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department will have a need to fill this full-time, <br />exempt position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff would like to start the process of advertising for the Deputy <br />Chief position; and <br />WHEREAS, the current hiring policy allows for internal job postings and the <br />position will be posted internally for five (5) working days so that interested <br />employees may be considered for the position; and <br />WHEREAS, only after the vacancy is posted for five (5) working days and no <br />response or qualified candidates are received will the vacancy be posted externally. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes Staff to advertise for the upcoming vacancy for the Deputy Chief position. <br />ATTEST: <br />Adopted this 23rd day of September, 2019. <br />Carol A.
