Mounds View City Council December 9, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />Ms. Mohammad. City Administrator Zikmund explained he would have to confirm that Ms. 1 <br />Mohammad was available to work with this group and the Mounds View Police Foundation. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Council Member Meehlhause commented the Council could delay action on this Resolution until 4 <br />January in order to allow staff to speak with Ms. Mohammad and Gary Rundle to resolve the 5 <br />appointment issues. 6 <br /> 7 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Hull. To Table Action on Resolution 9200, Approving Various 8 <br />Appointments to the City of Mounds View’s Boards, Commissions and Committees to the 9 <br />January 6, 2020 City Council Meeting. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 12 <br /> 13 <br />E. Resolution 9201, Accept Bid and Award Contract to Shank Constructors for 14 <br />Water Treatment Facilities Upgrades at Water Treatment Plants #2, #3 and 15 <br />the Booster Station. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council accept a bid and award a contract to 18 <br />Shank Constructors for water treatment facilities upgrades. Staff discussed the proposed 19 <br />upgrades for Plants #2, #3 and the booster station in further detail with the Council and 20 <br />recommended approval of the project. 21 <br /> 22 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9201, 23 <br />Accept Bid and Award Contract to Shank Constructors for Water Treatment Facilities Upgrades 24 <br />at Water Treatment Plants #2, #3 and the Booster Station, adjusting the total project cost and 25 <br />stating Item 5 should read: The Public Works Director will notify the City Administrator and 26 <br />City Council of any adjustments in excess of $10,000. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Council Member Gunn asked when work would begin on this project. Public Works Director 29 <br />Peterson stated work could begin after the contract was approved by the Council. 30 <br /> 31 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 32 <br /> 33 <br />F. Resolution 9210, Approving the Final Payment for the 2019 Street 34 <br />Reconstruction Project. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the final payment for the 2019 37 <br />Street Reconstruction Project. Staff reported this project was completed under budget. He 38 <br />commented on the project detailing the change orders that were approved and recommended 39 <br />approval of the final payment. 40 <br /> 41 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9210, 42 <br />Approving the Final Payment for the 2019 Street Reconstruction Project. 43 <br /> 44 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 45
