<br />RESOLUTION NO. 9222 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PROMOTION OF BEN ZENDER TO THE <br />POSITION OF DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a promotion to fill the vacancy of <br />Deputy Police Chief in the Police Department, and the City of Mounds View has approved <br />the procedures to fill these vacancies, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of training and experience <br />scoring, oral board interview, a psychological and leadership assessment, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Ben Zender, and the Chief <br />of Police recommends that he be appointed to the position of Deputy Police Chief. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Ben Zender to the <br />position of Deputy Police Chief effective upon the first day of his return from his work <br />related medical leave at step 3 rate of pay ($50.28/hour) and subject to six month <br />probationary period. Step 4 will occur at one year from the date of promotion. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of January, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Carol A.
