-3- <br />5. Soccer field - plans to connect with softball <br />field irrigation system. <br />6. Hard -surface play court - still needs lining. <br />7. Benches along the pathway - a couple of <br />benches need to be moved, as they are <br />beginning to be grown with bushes. <br />8. One (1) swing bench - the bench is in good <br />shape, and the Commission would like to see <br />another one installed at the other end of the <br />park. <br />9. Sliding hill - Director Saarion stated that the <br />installation of the sliding was installed <br />because the contractor needed an area to <br />dump construction materials, rocks, etc. This <br />then put the original map out of proportion <br />because that was originally a flat area. <br />10. Amphitheater - Staff suggested possible <br />changes, as the steep sides of the <br />amphitheater are a hazard. Two possible <br />solutions were discussed: <br />a. Use it as a "slide" hill with a variety of <br />different slides such as wave slides and <br />tube slides. <br />b. Using a grader to terrace or more <br />gently slope amphitheater. <br />Commissioner Stevenson suggested that the <br />"slide" hill may be combined with a tot lot to <br />make a play area. The Commission agreed <br />that the amphitheater be designated as an <br />area of future redevelopment for possible play <br />areas. <br />11. Portable restroom enclosures. <br />12. Signs - additional signs were suggested <br />for each entry point to the park, rather <br />than just the two main entries. <br />
