The Commission requested staff to write a
resolution including these points:
The playfield is still a speculative
concept.
- The playfield development costs are
speculative.
The city, as a partner to a plan that
does not have a cost.
Since the city is mostly interested in
soccer fields, offer an amount that
typically would cover development
costs.
Explain how the cities' interests are in
the plan.
Explain who would most likely receive
user fees.
In-kind services are as important and
may possibly be of value in lieu of
monetary contribution.
MW
The Commission recommended that monies
allocated for a bridge at the Silver View Park
pond narrows be removed. The Cor:unussiOn
requested staff to write a resolution stating
these reasons:
- Higher traffic.
People may jump off.
People may throw trash and litter into
pond.
It costs a lot of money.
A pathway offers an avenue around the
pond at a lesser cost.
- A bridge encourages "short cut" use
rather than exercise.
- Money could be better spent.
- A bridge ruins the natural aesthetics of
the pond.
- A bridge may alter geese landing
patterns.
- A bridge breaks up the continuity look
or appearance of the pond.
