r)
SILVER VIEW PARK TASK FORCE
2ND MEETING
APRIL 4, 1990
QUESTIONS FOR DISCISSION
1. What other alternatives are there for the amphitheater? (i.e. re -terrace, let
grow, develop into a sliding, rock climbing area, fill in.
2. What should the buffer zone distance be from the pond?
3. Who is to determine when it would be beneficial to the pond to perform weed
harvesting.
4. The recommendations from this group regarding Silver View Park improvements
are dependent upon funding just as the 1981 Master Plan was dependent upon
funding. What will be the answer to community residents asking why
scheduled improvements are not occurring if monies are not appropriated as
recommended.
5. How can this improvement plan remain flexible for special opportunities or
needs which today are unforeseen such as grant opportunities, special
donations, requests for special facilities.
6. The issue of pathway construction materials must be decided, asphalt or
woodchip or combination. Is the group interested in the northern asphalt
pathway addition and if so, what is the priority?
7. Donations will probably provide the greatest funding for the majority of the
improvements. This group must review the "receipt of donations" issue to
ensure that donations will be generously given and received to encourage an
atmosphere of good will by donating organizations and the City.
63
