6. Plan the development of Arden Park and <br />Knollwood Park. <br />7. Look into the use of space at the -strip malls <br />for community activities. <br />8. Look into the acquisition of properties <br />within the City that may be of benefit to the <br />community as parkland or activity sites ie. <br />the home next to Messiah Church on Knollwocd, <br />the Tom Thumb store at the corner of <br />Knollwood and County Rd. H2 and other places <br />to be identified. The Commission is looking <br />for places in the southwest quadrant of the <br />City which is lacking parkland and <br />facilities. <br />COMMISSION <br />TERMS: Director Saarion provided a list of Commissioners <br />and term dates and informed the Commissioners <br />whose terms are expiring that they need to send a <br />letter of request for reappointment to the Mayor <br />before the end of the year. <br />WINTER <br />PROGRAM <br />REVIEW: Director Saarion reviewed the special events <br />slated for the month of December as well as the <br />schedule of activities for the'Winter season. <br />Director Saarion informed the Commission that a <br />new used water truck was purchased with Recreation <br />Activity Funds for rink flooding. The purchase <br />was seen as a cost savings for the City. <br />ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Silvis made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Stevenson to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />
