56 <br />employees. <br /> <br />If it is necessary to close City offices due to extraordinary circumstances, the office closing <br />will be announced on WCCO-AM radio and on a pre-recorded message on the City’s <br />main telephone number if possible. In such circumstances where City offices are officially <br />closed, the City Administrator may grant paid time off to employees. Employees who are <br />not scheduled to be at work on a day when offices are closed for extraordinary <br />circumstances will not receive paid time off. <br /> <br />Where the terms of any collective bargaining agreement differ from this policy, the <br />collective bargaining agreement shall supersede the provisions of this policy with respect <br />to employees covered by such agreement. <br /> <br />Section 4.13 Sick or Injured Child Care Leave <br /> <br />Employees are allowed to use sick leave for reasonable absences due to the illness of <br />the employee’s child on the same terms as the employee’s own illness. <br /> <br />Section 4.14 Reasonable Unpaid Work Time for Nursing Mothers <br /> <br />Nursing mothers will be provided reasonable unpaid break time to express milk for <br />nursing her child for one year after the child’s birth. The City will provide a room (other <br />than a bathroom) as close as possible to the employee’s work area, that is shielded from <br />view and free from intrusion from coworkers and the public and includes access to an <br />electrical outlet, where the nursing mother can express milk in private. <br /> <br />Reasonable Accommodations to an Employee for Health Conditions Relating to <br />Pregnancy <br />The City will attempt to provide a female employee who requests reasonable <br />accommodation with the following for her health conditions related to her pregnancy or <br />childbirth: <br /> <br />• More frequent restroom, food, and water breaks; <br />• Seating; <br />• Limits on lifting over 20 pounds; and/or <br />• Temporary transfer to a less strenuous or hazardous position, should one <br />be available. <br /> <br />Unless such accommodations impose an undue hardship on the City, the City will engage <br />in an interactive process with respect to an employee’s request for a reasonable <br />accommodation. <br /> <br />Section 4.15 Voting Time <br /> <br />An employee selected to serve as an election judge pursuant to Minnesota law, will be <br />allowed time off without pay for purposes of serving as an election judge, provided that
