RESOLUTION NO. 9270 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRE OF DANIEL WATTENHOFER <br />TO THE POSITION OF PUBLIC WORKS ARBORIST/PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS , upon direction from the Mounds View City Council and in accordance with <br />the Public Works Labor Agreement, the Public Works Arborist/Parks Maintenance Worker <br />position was advertised; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, five (5) applications were received and all were invited to interview for the <br />position; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Daniel Wattenhofer’s skills and experience were determined to most closely <br />match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hiring procedures consist of an oral interview, pre-employment physical <br />and drug testing, reference and background checks, and a hiring assessment; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS , Mr. Wattenhofer will be a member of the Public Works Collective Bargaining <br />Unit, and subject to the established job classification system with regard to the pay scale as set <br />forth in the Public Works Labor Agreement; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS , Mr. Wattenhofer qualifies for Level A of the pay scale based on the Public <br />Works Collective Bargaining Unit Labor Agreement, which is currently established at $29.58 per <br />hour; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS , Mr. Wattenhofer would be subject to a 12 month probationary period as <br />stated in the Public Works Labor Agreement. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Wattenhofer would begin employment on or around Monday, June 1, <br />2020; and, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve the hire of Daniel Wattenhofer to the position of Public Works Arborist/Parks <br />Maintenance Worker within the Public Works Department, at Level A of the pay scale (currently <br />$29.58/hour) and with employment to commence on or around Monday, June 1, 2020. <br /> <br />2020 Hourly Wage Schedule: <br />Level A Level B Level C <br />$29.58 $31.23 $32.87 <br /> <br /> Adopted this 11th day of Ma y, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br /> Carol A.
