RESOLUTION 9311 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FOR REPAIRS TO THE EMERGENCY <br />POWER/GENERATOR FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANTS 2 AND 3 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Water Treatment Rehabilitation Project <br />(City Project No. 2016-006 which entails updating the electrical power to the buildings; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the current generator has capacity to generate the needed 480V for <br />emergency power but the necessary internal switch components are not in place; and <br />WHEREAS, the current electrical contractor on the project has elected to not <br />provide an estimate for the necessary repairs to the generator; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff obtained a cost proposal from Pioneer Critical Power of <br />$18,169.70; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff recommends the City Council approve the <br />proposal from Pioneer Critical Power for the repairs to the Emergency Power Generator <br />for Water Treatment Plants 2 and 3. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Accepts the Proposal from Pioneer Critical Power with a bid of $18,169.79, for the <br />need repairs to the Emergency Power Generator for Water Treatment Plants 2 and <br />3. <br />2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and <br />directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in <br />order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 28th day of September, 2020 <br />Carol A.
