RESOLUTION NO. 9353 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF <br />SICK LEAVE BALANCES FOR COVID RELATED ABSENCES <br />WHEREAS, staff relayed concern regarding Public Works Bargaining Unit <br />employees who have used or may use their 80 hours of Families First Coronavirus <br />Responsibilities Act (FFCRA) time, during the November 23, 2020 Council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, staff indicated duplicitous absences caused from COVID requiring <br />one or more quarantine periods, which exceed the 80 hours of FFCRA time; and <br />WHEREAS, Council directed staff to create a resolution allowing Public Works and <br />First Responders additional paid time off for COVID related absences. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />Authorizes Public Works and Police employees unable to perform their job duties from <br />home to receive additional paid time if approved by the City Administrator due to the <br />Coronavirus Pandemic when the employees Families First Coronavirus responsibilities <br />Act (FFCRA) 80 Hours of time has been exhausted. <br />Adopted this 14t" day of December, 2020. <br />Carol A.
