Mounds View City Council July 26, 2021 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />1 Community Development Director Sevald requested the Council consider adopting Ordinance 977 <br />2 amending Mounds View Municipal Code, Title XV, Chapter 160 related to drive-thru businesses. <br />3 He reported the proposed change would allow drive thru's in the B-4 zoning district. He explained <br />4 the Planning Commission reviewed this Ordinance and recommended approval. <br />5 <br />6 MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Cermak. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance <br />7 977, an Ordinance Amending the Mounds View Municipal Code, Title XV, Chapter 160, Sections <br />8 160.198 and 160.218 related to Drive-Thru Businesses and direct staff to order the summary <br />9 publication. <br />10 <br />11 ROLL CALL: Bergeron/Cermak/Hull/Meehlhause/Mueller. <br />12 <br />13 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />14 <br />15 9. REPORTS <br />16 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />17 <br />18 Council Member Bergeron stated last Thursday he attended a cable commission meeting in the <br />19 new Nine North studio. He reported this was a great new functional space. <br />20 <br />21 Council Member Bergeron encouraged residents to consider serving the community in <br />22 AmeriCorps. He stated he has thoroughly enjoyed his service with this organization. <br />23 <br />24 Council Member Cermak stated the Mounds View Police Foundation would be meeting on <br />25 Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Random Park at 4:30 p.m. <br />26 <br />27 Council Member Meehlhause reported on Wednesday he would be attending a combined meeting <br />28 of two different NYFS committees. <br />29 <br />30 Council Member Meehlhause commented he watched the recent Park, Recreation and Forestry <br />31 meeting. He requested the Council consider installing practice boards at the City's two tennis <br />32 courts. City Administrator Zikmund stated he could move forward with this work with the consent <br />33 of the Council. The Council directed staff to install practice boards at the City's two tennis courts. <br />34 <br />35 Mayor Mueller thanked all of the residents that had contacted her regarding the recent tree <br />36 trimming. She explained she was extremely proud of the great work the public works staff was <br />37 doing to maintain the City's trees and parks. <br />38 <br />39 Mayor Mueller commented on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 the Festival in the Park Committee would <br />40 be meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Silver View Park. She then discussed the events that were being planned <br />41 for Festival in the Park. <br />42 <br />43 Mayor Mueller stated she would be attending a Minnesota Women in Government meeting on <br />44 Friday, July 30, 2021. <br />45 <br />
