Attachment I
• I am concerned impending improvements will interfere with curb appeal of Pleasant View
as majority of homes have small gardens/trees in the area of mailboxes. Also
concerned with length of project as seen in Blaine that took all spring/summer.
• Keep it simple and inexspesive. Let my mailbox be my mailbox. / am an individual, not a
collective.
• Quantity and speed of traffic: The amount of traffic has increased tremendously in the
past 5 years, and with the new development near the airport, there will be even more.
Many drivers are driving well over the limit. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE
SPEED!
• Cost to me for this project.... I would not be apposed to widening the street if the cost is
reasonable to home owners side walks are a good idea ther is alot of people I see
walking down to edge of the road..
• I'd really like to see more biking trails around. I've been taking my young children biking,
but Pleasant View and Spring Lake Road are troublesome without at least a sidewalk for
the kids.
• Not a fan of the rain gardens as they look like you have a ditch in your front yard. They
are an eye sore.
• Yes, widening Spring Lake Rd will increase speeding, it is a short, straight shot from
85th Ave to Mounds View Blvd. SLR needs stop signs at 84th Ave & Arden.
• I do not want a rain garden in my front yard. It is small enough as it is. If the city takes
out trees, it pay full replacement costs. We have managed quite well for over 40 years
without a sidewalk. Think of sidewalks when putting in new developments.
• 8412 PLEASANT VIEW DR. On every heavy rain, the street floods in front of my house
and halfway up my yard. The grate in front of my house often gets clogged or is just too
much for it to handle. St Floods all the time.
