Attachment I
Area K- Resident Concerns
• By the lake it needs a bike lane and sidewalk.
• No sidewalk!
• This questionnaire is biased, it is framed specifically to make people feel as though
pedestrian safety in general is important. On our street this makes no sense. People from
other streets walk on our street specifically because it is quiet and safe.
• I strongly oppose any alterations to Spring Lake Road. This Street is in very good condition.
• The two options I would support are: Turning Spring Lake Road into a one-way road in
order to accomplish both the city and residence concerns. Redevelop Spring Lake Road
keeping the same width as it currently is and install rain gardens.
• Numerous. Until the survey ZERO information has been communicated regarding
unnecessarily widening the road or adding a trail and in turn destroying hundred year old
trees in the process.
• Yes,
o We have trees we planted, that have special & sentimental reasons.
o If we wanted a walking path/possibly parking etc., we would have moved
elsewhere.
o Spend the money on the hole in the road by the church i fall into daily! "
• My main concern is I definitely want a sidewalk is a sidewalk on Spring Lake road Too many
people walk in the streets are gonna get hit
• The current plan is not acceptable and not well thought through. Widening the road as well
a grossly oversized trail down a small city street is absolutely ridiculous. An improved road
may be sustainable, but there is no need for a trail. Period.
