going to get out of their car there, which means I have to park on top of that ROW or whatever, and as I
am looking at all of these things stacking up, between endangering people in that area, because it's so
wide and so close to my driveway in that area going down, no place to park in order to get people safely
into the house, there's not a lot of options left for me other than pursuing a variance or something. Its
new information for me, I am digesting it, trying to be open minded about it there are always things that
are positive and negative. I do like that the road is going to change a little bit to make it slower, that's a
positive, I am concerned about a few areas and hoping to find some resolution to it. 15:42
15:52 — Ashely Stevens 7406 Spring Lake Road — I am looking at the Spring Lake Road daily traffic
numbers, that's correct, that's daily, and how is that information obtained.
DP — we put traffic counters out.
AS - Is that like public information we can review?
DP —Sure it is, might be on our website but state has all that information, we have to report it.
AS - It just seems pretty high numbers for daily. Also a couple questions I have — seems like pedestrian
safety is being pushed a lot, what's the foot traffic on Spring Lake Road, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly
what are the numbers. I know you mentioned about like in the winter, there's snow pushed up, are
these numbers still, is this, pertaining to pedestrian safety, has there been any research on how many
people are actually walking.
DP — No.
AS - So have there been any pedestrian accidents on Spring Lake Road?
DP — to his knowledge no.
AS - Ok, have you received any requests from residents on Spring Lake Road requesting a trail.
DP — yes I have.
AS - Do you have that information, the numbers?
DP- 5 or 6 over the past couple days putting in trail or sidewalk.
AS - Out of how many are on Spring Lake Road? Do you plan on doing any research on how many, how
much foot traffic there is on Spring Lake Road?
DP —That has not been talked about— no.
AS - So I guess I am curious why a trail is being proposed without the research?
DP — refers back to the comprehensive plan PRF — master trail and sidewalk plan.
AS - So this is from a trail/ proposal in what year?
DP — It was just updated this year.
AS - Approved?
4
