Many have asked why not put a fence in your back yard? The answer is simple, I have a
corner lot, with my house and garage almost on top of each other. 75% of my back yard is
taken up by my garage and driveway, which is more like a side yard then a back yard, a
corner lot issue. No other house is like mine in Mounds View that I know of. The only way to
make a fenced in back yard would have power gate made for my driveway which would be
10's of thousands of dollars. Not in my budget right now. If you were to really look at my
house it's unique to the area. No other house has the same house and Garage combo as
mine does. My house and garage are just 7 ft apart not much space at all. Tell me or show
another house like this one? There is not one. I did not build it this way just happened to buy
it this way.
This should be cut and dry, this is about public safety for our kids in school and the
neighborhood, and the safety of my dog's. I'm trying to prevent a tragedy for our family and
everyone else in the neighborhood.
Other benefits, it looks nice and will complement the neighborhood when done with the
added landscaping planned...
Also, many other neighbors support the fence height or don't care about the height as much
as the fence itself.
Warm regards,
Aaron Strand
Home owner
612-747-0121
