Mr. <br />Holt commented this was not part of his business model. He reported he had a shelter background <br />and he had a heart for boarding and caring for animals. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause questioned if the privacy fence would be solid. Community <br />Development Director Sevald reported this was the way the condition was written. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause inquired if the fence could be eight feet in height. Community <br />Development Director Sevald indicated this change could be made. Mr. Holt requested the fence <br />remain at six feet. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9492, Approving a <br />Commercial Dog Kennel License at 5491 Adams Street. <br /> <br />The motion failed for lack of a second. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9492, <br />Denying a Commercial Dog Kennel License at 5491 Adams Street. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nay – 1 (Hull) Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Attorney Riggs stated the next action that should be taken by the Council would be to direct <br />staff to prepare a motion for denial of the Conditional Use Permit. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. To Direct Staff to Prepare a Motion for Denial of <br />the Conditional Use Permit at 5491 Adams Street. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nay – 1 (Hull) Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller addressed Mr. Holt and wished him well in his future endeavors noting the Council <br />was concerned that this space was too small to adequately serve as a dog kennel and boarding <br />facility. <br /> <br />B. Public Hearing: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 985, Amending <br />the Zoning Map for Properties at 4889 Old Highway 8 and 4943 Old Highway <br />8. ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sevald requested the Council hold a public hearing and adopt <br />an Ordinance amending the Zoning Map for the properties at 4889 Old Highway 8 and 4943 Old <br />Highway 8. He discussed the history of this property noting it was part of the Skyline <br />redevelopment. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:19 p.m. <br />
