MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />7uneteenth Holiday Recognition and <br />Update the Vacation Accrual Schedule <br />This Memorandum of Understanding is made between Law Enforcement Labor Services, <br />Local 204 - Mounds View Police Officers ("Union") and the City of Mounds View ("City.") <br />WHEREAS, the Union and the City are parties to a collective bargaining <br />agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the collective bargaining agreement does not contain a provision to <br />compensate Union members for an additional paid holiday (Juneteenth); and <br />WHEREAS, the holiday has been officially recognized by the City of Mounds View and <br />with such recognition it needs to be compensated as other like holidays. <br />WHEREAS, the collective bargaining agreement does not reflect the updated <br />Personnel Manual Vacation Policy revision, which allows employees to begin accruing <br />15 days of vacation per year when they are hired through year 10. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree that each Union member will receive one additional paid <br />Holiday equal to 8 hours, if a member is assigned to work on this holiday, they shall receive <br />an extra one-half of pay for any hours worked. <br />NOWTHEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the parties agree that each Union member <br />will accrue 15 days of vacation per year when they are hired through year 10, retro to begin <br />effective August 21, 2021, per City Resolution No. 9451. <br />In witness whereof, the parties have executed this Memorandum of Understanding on <br />the 24th day of January, 2022. <br />LAW ENFORCEMENT LABOR <br />SERVICES, INC. <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />n c n'ght, Business Agent Carol A.
