• Assists with election activities and other administrative and municipal functions as <br />directed. <br />• Assist scheduling cablecast meetings. <br />• Growth potential to cablecast City meetings. <br />• Growth potential to maintain City website. <br />PERIPHERAL <br />• Supports Administration Department with City Newsletter and other duties as requested. <br />• Handles minor maintenance/service calls for office equipment including, but not limited <br />to, postage machine, copier, and fax machine. <br />• Other duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />(A) Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in <br />general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping. <br />(B) Three (3) years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent <br />combination of related education and experience. <br />(C) Experience with document imaging. <br />(D) Typing of 50+ WPM with ability to proofread <br />(E) Committed to working a regular part-time schedule of 20 hours per week. <br />DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS <br />(A) Notary Public. <br />(B) Prior municipal and/or Human Resource experience. <br />(C) Prior experience cablecasting. <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />(A) Proficient with computers and modern office practices and procedures. This includes <br />proficiency in Microsoft Applications. <br />(B) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment. <br />(C) Ability to perform cashier duties accurately; ability to effectively meet and deal with the <br />public; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to handle stressful <br />situations. <br />TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED <br />Phone switchboard; mainframe computer terminal: personal computer including word <br />processing and data entry software; copy machine; postage machine; fax machine; and <br />calculator. <br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that: must be met by an <br />employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
