He commented further on Mr. Paulseth's work experience <br />2 and recommended approval of the hire. <br />3 <br />4 MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution <br />5 9639, Approving the Hire of Kris Paulseth to the Position of Arborist/Park Maintenance. <br />6 <br />7 Council Member Bergeron stated he believed the Arborist position was vital to the community <br />8 and the City's forest. <br />9 <br />10 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />11 <br />12 E. Resolution 9643, Approving Contract/Fee of $9,400 with Kodet Architects to <br />13 Perform a Condition Assessment of Community Center. <br />14 <br />15 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve a contract with Kodet Architects to <br />16 perform a condition assessment for the Community Center. He noted the contract/fee would be <br />17 $9,400. He commented further on the assessment that would be completed and recommended <br />18 approval. <br />19 <br />20 Council Member Bergeron stated this assessment was the City's opportunity to do its due <br />21 diligence for the Community Center. City Administrator Zikmund reported this was the case. <br />22 <br />23 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution <br />24 9643, Approving Contract/Fee of $9,400 with Kodet Architects to Perform a Condition <br />25 Assessment of Community Center. <br />26 <br />27 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />28 <br />29 F. Resolution 9644, Approving the Hire of Patrol Officer Lindsey Jordon. <br />30 <br />31 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the hire of Patrol Officer Lindsey <br />32 Jordon. He reported the police department's top candidate failed to successfully complete all <br />33 background materials. He explained this led staff to recommend the hire of Patrol Officer <br />34 Lindsey Jordon, who is a lateral transfer. He indicated the department would have to go through <br />35 the hiring process again in December. <br />36 <br />37 MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9644, <br />38 Approving the Hire of Patrol Officer Lindsey Jordon. <br />39 <br />40 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />41 <br />42 Council Member Meehlhause stated he would like to direct staff to post for another patrol officer <br />43 within the police depai tiiient. He noted the City was supposed to hire two officers, and has only <br />44 hired one at this time. <br />45 <br />
