10) Development Driveway directly across from the Everest buildings (white buildings) will cause
drivers to cut through the white buildings to avoid traffic on Woodale as expected traffic to
MV Blvd will be backed up and others will seek access into the neighborhood as Allina
ambulances have done because the traffic on MV Blvd is so high at times. The right turn
from this apartment should not be allowed as it will only add to the high traffic and speeds
into a school zone and neighborhood. We get enough Ambulance traffic and uncalled for
traffic looking for egress into the Greystone flats and Bel Rae senior complexes and school
busses and delivery trucks. Not to mention the Bel Rae it was stated there would be no
impact on O'Connell with parking from the development. Yet to date we still see cars and
trucks parking along and driving through the neighborhood looking for egress into or visiting
this complex. Cars park all day as if they are workers at the Bel Rae with no space in the
complex lot to park.
11) Noise and traffic will be a negative for the city and neighborhood. We hear noises from
Greystone flats in our area. Along with the white buildings and the mermaid. This is a
residential area it should have a CUP added to the white buildings to limit noise including
garbage pickup in the early Am. Usually around 4:30am slamming dumpsters to get them
emptied.
12) Dog and pet walkers are a nuisance as they use our front yards and the school field for the
defecation of their pet's urine and feces. Our children should not be playing in a pet waste
box. And enforcement of leash law is not being enforced with dogs running unleashed in the
field. Dog barking also needs to be addressed as the current MV dog ordinances do not allow
any enforcement unless there are two identical reports about the same dog before anyone
will be sent to the issue. Very rare two calls will occur to the same dog barking.
13) The developments do not have any recreation area for children or adults and a 33 ft setback
does not allow for any usable space. Not good for a 260 unit development. Playing on
Woodale Dr. is not a good idea.
14) Greystone flats has a bigger dog park than the play ground green space for children to play.
Not a real great statement on the cities or developers planning part.
15) Traffic Speed on Woodale has not been addressed or remedied yet. I have been in contact
with City admin for years about the speed and have emails stating Woodale was getting an
electronic speed sign which has yet to occur along with PD enforcement which has not
occurred either due to lack of PD personnel. Also red light running at Woodale and MV Blvd
has not been addressed and is still an issue as we have nearly been hit many times by red
light runners and called in reports without any corrections or enforcement improvements.
16) MVPD has been missing calls and violations due to over developed calls like Greystone flats,
Scotland greens and other high density developments. As stated by MVPD police chief when
violations reported were skipped by MVPD due to overloaded PD calls.
