17) Traffic increase on Woodale and Jeffery Dr. Due to Greystone flats and School driveway
along with closure of Greenfield. Jeffery Dr. has significantly increased traffic count and
speeds on our streets.
18) Woodale is now a dangerous street due to resizing (narrowing w/no ghost lane lines) and
removal of all on street parking. School field parking is now backing up on to and consuming
street parking on Edgewood, Greenfield, Jeffery and O'Connell with school and field sporting
events. All Woodale addresses have no on street parking unless they are corner properties.
19) Woodale with redesigned sidewalk addition should now be considered a school speed zone
since it meets all the same properties as Edgewood drive for traffic and pedestrian concerns.
Busses, trucks and cars are all speeding on Woodale and now with the sidewalk for
additional pedestrian traffic there needs to be more control of this area along the schools
field and parking lot on Woodale. Not to mention schools have already been over populated
and capacity is still an issue.
20) These last large scale developments were approved and locals were told that local property
taxes would go down and stay in control due to the huge increase in the tax base from the
developments yet to date we have not seen this to occur and property taxes have been
skyrocketing since these developments were built. TIFF is not good for the city as it delays
the tax revenue and citizens pay for these huge developments for many years. Do NOT
approve this Development for the Woodale apartments. It's unsafe and not a good fit for
this small plot of land. You have waited for other development areas and you can wait for
this one for a better suited development. This project would be better suited for TCCAP or
the land behind the theatre on Long Lake and Co. Rd H2. As there is already R4 properties
adjacent to this land. Do NOT Develop High Density R4 or PUD projects on top of R1 homes.
Especially when it takes rezoning the property from current R1 to accommodate the
development. Just not right!
As you saw at the last rezoning meeting 11/18/22 the entire residential public around this
development do not want this project to go through so as publicly elected officials that are meant to
represent the voice of the city you should vote down this project and mind the public's opinion. Do
not delay vote No and deny this project.
Thank you for your time and vote to deny this project.
Sincerely,
Mark & Debbie Gavett - 5210 Jeffery Dr.
