Public Hearing: Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 997, an 5 Ordinance Amending Chapter 105 of the Mounds View Municipal Code 6 Regarding Mayor and City Council Annual Compensation. 7 8 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council introduce an Ordinance that would amend 9 Chapter 105 of the Mounds View Municipal Code regarding Mayor and City Council annual 10 compensation. He stated it has been six years since the Council has considered an increase in pay. 11 He noted the proposal was for a 10% increase over eight years and this increase would not take 12 effect until after the next election. 13 14 Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 9:42 p.m. 15 16 Hearing no public input, Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 9:43 p.m. 17 18 MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Bergeron. To Waive the First Reading and Adopt Ordinance 997, 19 an Ordinance Amending Chapter 105 of the Mounds View Municipal Code Regarding Mayor and 20 City Council Annual Compensation. 21 22 Council Member Meehlhause explained it was strange for the Council to vote on a pay raise. He 23 reported this was the manner in which the Council had to proceed when considering new rates for 24 the Council's compensation. 25 26 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. 27 28 C. Resolution 9656, Approving Various Appointments to the City of Mounds 29 Views Boards, Commissions and Committees 2023. 30 31 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve various appointments to the City of 32 Mounds Views Boards, Commissions and Committees 2023. He reviewed the proposed 33 appointments in detail with the Council and recommended approval. 34 35 MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9656, 36 Approving Various Appointments to the City of Mounds Views Boards, Commissions and 37 Committees 2023. 38 39 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. 40 41 D. Resolution 9657, Approving Slate of Candidates to Ramsey County Board for 42 Appointment of a Commissioner to the Rice Creek Watershed District. 43 44 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the slate of candidates to the Ramsey 45 County Board for appointment of a Commissioner to the Rice Creek Watershed District. He 46 explained Statute requires a list of candidates from which Ramsey County shall choose a candidate.
