As proposed, 55% will be residential (The
Villas), and 45% to be determined (e.g. future development north
of Bauer Welding).
Previously, an assisted living facility was planned for the north
Bauer site. That proposal was removed in spring 2020 at the
beginning of the COVID pandemic. Currently, there is nothing
planned, but development is likely.
An amendment to the Comprehensive Plan was approved
(Resolution 9475) to amend Mixed Use density, from 15-30 units
per acre, to 15-50 units per acre. The Villas will have a density of
32 units per acre. The Comprehensive Plan amendment is being
reviewed by the Metropolitan Council, who plans to take action at
their December 8, 2021 Council of the Whole meeting.
i Mounds View City Code §160.318(B) (General concept plan)
2 Mounds View City Code, §158.020(E) (Report of Effect)
The Muunus view vision
A Thriving Desirable Community
