Attachment 2 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />POSITION DESCRIPTION <br />Position Title: <br />Facility Coordinator <br />Department: <br />Parks and Recreation <br />Accountable to: <br />Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br />Status: <br />Non -Exempt Full -Time <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITON <br />The Facility Coordinator is responsible for maintaining exceptional customer service to all facility <br />users, provide work direction to part time staff, and assist with the oversight of all scheduled <br />events, rentals, programs, and services at the Mounds View Community Center. This includes <br />the event center, gym, fitness center, room rentals, and Park and Recreation programs. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general guidance and direction of the Parks and Recreation Superintendent. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />None. <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />• Provide work direction to part-time building staff, ensuring they complete tasks and <br />follow established policies and procedures. <br />• Assist Event Center Manager by responding to Event Center inquiries and provide tours in <br />order to determine objectives and requirements for events with customers and staff in the use <br />of the community center facility. <br />• Serve as the primary on -site contact person for customers, programs, and rentals. This <br />includes handling any conflicts in a professional and courteous fashion. <br />• Open and/or close the building as scheduled. <br />• Perform daily building inspection walk-throughs and inventory checks. <br />• Write daily work reports, maintain work records, balance cash drawers, and other <br />administrative functions, including answering phones in a courteous manner. <br />• Monitor the building and grounds to maintain a clean and safe environment for all users. <br />• Assist full-time supervisory staff in specific tasks including but not limited to rentals, <br />events, programs, projects, or customer service. <br />• Oversee all events and rentals in the building ensuring they meet attendance <br />requirements/deadlines, and are vacated at proper times. <br />• Assist with set up for many types of events, including but not limited to: banquets, birthday <br />parties, weddings, conferences, retreats, meetings, seminars, trainings, etc. <br />• Interact with event attendees, making them feel welcome and answer questions when <br />needed. <br />• Assist with cleaning during event, and ensure cleaning is underway at the conclusion of <br />event. <br />• Return equipment and supplies to proper location. <br />• Train and coordinate part-time staff on proper event procedures. <br />• Other duties and special projects as assigned. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />• High School diploma or equivalent <br />• Minimum two (2) years customer service experience <br />• Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience <br />• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds <br />
