<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Groveland Park Building Replacement. – <br />THE FOLLLOWING WAS READ <br />Staff met with representatives of TKDA on December 1, 2004 to discuss this project. TKDA has submitted a draft concept plan for the Commissioner’s review. TKDA has indicated that based <br /> on ENR (Engineering News Record) data the building construction cost for the Groveland building may be 26% more than the Hillview building. This increase is based solely on inflation. <br /> TKDA will be collecting site data in January. <br />Draft concept plan was included in the packet. <br />The concept plan added 4 feet to the side for additional storage. <br />The concept plan eliminates the “jog” in the front of the building. <br />Keep the concept plan with an open floor plan like the Hillview plan. <br /> <br /> <br />Facility Guide Update <br />This was review at the last meeting. <br />Staff is still working or addressing all of the comments. <br />A revised draft will be submitted to the Commission in January. <br />The Commissioners suggested that the printing of the Facility Guide be delayed until there is more information pertaining to the Groveland Building – after we know more about the status <br /> of the building / after it is officially approved by the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />YMCA Committee Update – <br />A meeting was held on December 6, 2004. <br />Items that were discussed were Recreation Software Purchase, fitness center equipment upgrade- looking at replacing with used YMCA equipment, adding two new security cameras, and revising <br /> the entrance sign to include all current tenants. <br />The YMCA proposed that the fitness center equipment could be replaced with used YMCA equipment. <br />The YMCA committee is looking at adding to new security cameras; one color camera for the front desk and a second one for the hallway facing the north door exiting onto Bronson Drive. <br /> <br />2004 Park Needs Analysis <br />This was completed at the October meeting. <br />Commissioners wanted to view the final plan. <br /> <br /> <br />4. New Business: <br />City Wide Survey develop questions <br />The City Council has approved a contract to conduct a citywide telephone survey. This will be a fifty-question (50) survey posed to four hundred (400)
