What would be the immediate impact on the municipalities should the four <br /> school sites not be available for community usage? <br /> Although the four closed school sites are located in Arden Hills and Mounds View <br /> respectively, their closings will impact all five municipalities and the community <br /> education department. As was shown in Addendum B the projected shortfall of 1 ,326 <br /> gymnasium hours will be borne by each of the agencies involved and ultimately the <br /> residents. <br /> Immediate impacts Arden Hills residents will experience include: (Approximately <br /> 75% of all adult recreation programs and 60% of all youth recreation programs are <br /> conducted at Johanna Jr. High - see Addendum D. ) <br /> 1. Possible longer traveling distance for recreation programs. <br /> 11111 2. No swimming program located within the community. <br /> 3. The Johanna site serves as a neighborhood park for residents <br /> south of County Road D. <br /> 4. Elimination of the only full size gymnasium in Arden Hills <br /> which will greatly impact both adult and youth programs. <br /> 5. The industrial leagues (basketball and volleyball ) from <br /> Control Data, Cardiac Pacemakers, Mutual Service, and <br /> Land 0' Lakes will have to be relocated. <br /> 6. One half of the City's public tennis courts are located at <br /> Johanna Jr. High School . <br /> Immediate impacts on the City of Mounds View are as follows: (Approximately 85% <br /> of all indoor recreation programming, youth and adult, is conducted at Edgewood <br /> 1110 <br /> Junior High School . ) <br /> 1 . No swimming program located within the community. The Edgewood <br /> Jr. High pool currently serves 660 residents through our lesson <br /> program and thousands of participants in the open swim and rental program. <br />
