Below is a list of potential programs that could be facilitated <br /> at the Bel Rae facility should it be renovated for community use. <br /> The list includes services for all age groups and offers <br /> opportunities to take advantage of County and other agency <br /> programs that could be arranged for convenient satellite service <br /> in Mounds View. <br /> Youth/Teen Center <br /> TOPS <br /> WIC satellite <br /> Income Tax Assistance <br /> County Health Department Services, ie immunizations <br /> HUD services <br /> Youth and Family Services partnerships <br /> Teen Basketball <br /> Gymnastics Program <br /> Karate School <br /> Community Basketball Programs <br /> Community Volleyball Programs <br /> Senior Citizen Programs for wellness and social interaction <br /> Pre-school programs and activities <br /> Community Resource Facility for exchanging ice skates and other <br /> equipment, books, videos, games, etc. <br /> Youth Job Mart - arranging opportunities for youth to work for <br /> • residents of the community for hourly wages paid by recipient. <br /> Rentals for large gatherings, ie wedding receptions, banquets, <br /> etc. <br /> Other opportunities as they arise. <br /> Daytime use would be predominately senior citizen activities, <br /> pre-school activities and assistance programs . Later afternoon <br /> and evenings would provide prime opportunities for youth and <br /> teens to use the facility especially a teen center. Weekend <br /> evenings would be prime time for revenue opportunities through <br /> rentals . <br /> **Attached is additional brainstorm listing of more specific <br /> activities and assistance programs that could be offered to the <br /> community. <br /> PERSONNEL OPERATIONS : <br /> If Parks, Recreation & Forestry staff (Mary, Sharie and Marv) <br /> moved their offices to the Community Center, they could provide <br /> daytime facilitation serving as facility manager. If staff <br /> remained at City Hall , a perscn would need to be hired to <br /> monitor/supervise use of the Community Center. <br /> CUSTODIAL SERVICES <br /> IIICustodial services would be required daily. Service similar to <br /> that received at City Hall would be appropriate. Custodial work <br /> could be a contracted service or a custodial/maintenance worker <br /> could be hired.
