MEMO TO: Larry Decheine DATE: May 13 , 1982 • PAGE : Three EDGEWOOD PARK SCHOOL The city will be using all four fields at Edgewood during the entire Summer . Although the School District will perform the major maintenance , i .e . lawn mowing, etc . , the city will be responsible for field lining, and general maintenance of the field area. *1 . We need players benches down on Field #3 as soon as possible . Please contact Cliff Kardell at School District to find out where they have placed them. 2 . The barrels should be emptied on a weekly basis . 3 . Check the tennis court nets on a weekly basis to ensure that they are in working order, and that the coin operating boxes have not been damaged. Should the coin-operating boxes be damaged, please report that to myself so I may deal with the School District on that particular issue . RIDGE LANE PARK *Other than mowing of the park area, please be careful of the twelve additional willows that were placed on the sight . We should be • filling the area with some of the fill from drudge material from across the street and have the park area mowed as soon as possible . LAMBERT PARK *1 . The tot lot area should be sprayed again with Round-up and the weeds pulled from the area to eliminate them. 2 . The entire park area should be cleaned up, there is a large amount of glass under a small Canada Red Cherry Tree just east of the tot lot area. 3 . Stenkel Construction will be installing the building during the next two weeks as you are aware and a continual or daily check up of the area to ensure there is no problem regarding vandalism, footings , building construction, in general , should be taken care of. *4 . The players bench and bleachers behind the backstop , the middle bench is broken and should be repaired. 5 . The trash in general should be picked up from the park area. 6 . There is a great deal of standing water which would be on the south end of the football field. You may want to see if you can • pump it out of there to eliminate a possible mosquito breeding ground. This is not a high priority but it ' s a project that if you have time, you can get to . A good Summer CETA project would be to build a retaining wall in the northwest corner of the park where the hockey rink goes to eliminate the errosion.
