r • -2- <br /> b. Evaluate different funding priorities as to how the Parks <br /> and Space Open Plan can be implemented. This phase of <br /> PP <br /> their assignment would include but not be limited to: <br /> ( 1 ) Park bond referendums <br /> ( 2 ) Establishment of special taxing districts. <br /> ( 3 ) Additional financial committment by the Mounds View <br /> City Council . <br /> c . The task force would evaluate existing programs and <br /> determine what additional facilities and/or programs are <br /> needed on a community-wide basis. <br /> 6 . The task force would also include representatives from the <br /> Mounds View City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> as well as the Mounds View Parks and Recreation Department <br /> staff . <br /> 7 . The task force would report back to the Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission with a report no later than three months after <br /> being formed , outlining specific recommendations as to how <br /> the findings of the task force . <br /> SR . The Parks and Recreation Commission would then hold a public <br /> hearing to review the task force results prior to formal sub- <br /> mission to the City Council . <br /> 9. The report would then be adopted , rejected or accepted by the <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission and passed onto the City <br /> Council for their review and/or final action . <br /> 10. The City Council would take the next steps necessary to <br /> implement , reject or accept the task force and Park and Rec- <br /> reation Commission findings as submitted . <br /> 11 . Implementation would then be the responsibility of staff to <br /> ensure that the recommendations are accomplished as outlined . <br /> Staff would appreciate any input or comments that you might have <br /> in this area to expand on this concept. <br /> BKA/sll <br /> 4111 <br />
