CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> 11111 POSITION TITLE: Senior Citizen/Trips Coordinator <br /> DEPARTMENT: Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br /> ACCOUNTABLE TO: Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br /> PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION <br /> To plan, implement, chaperone, oversee and evaluate Senior Citizens <br /> and trips programs with sufficient variety to meet most identified <br /> needs of the community and provide for general participation. <br /> MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY <br /> Plans , implements , and evaluates individual senior citizen and trips <br /> programs within the City based on identified community needs. <br /> Oversees , in an advisory capacity, community senior citzen groups and <br /> regularly attends club meetings in order to coordinate and offer <br /> assistance to such groups . <br /> Leads senior exercise classes to encourage physical fitness among <br /> older persons . <br /> • Attends meetings in an advisory capacity, lending opportunities to <br /> senior citizens . Such meetings may include, but are not limited to: <br /> Senior Advisory Council, Metro Senior Federation. <br /> Chaperones adult trips on a regular monthly basis . <br /> Keeps the Director informed of all important developments and results <br /> being achieved in the programs and prepares special reports or <br /> documentation of activities as may be requested. <br /> Assumes other responsibilities as apparent or as delegated. <br /> OTHER PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS <br /> An effective program for senior citizens is developed and maintained <br /> to promote opportunities and programs . <br /> Provision of programs consistently results in acceptable levels of <br /> participation with positive support of participants in such programs. <br /> • <br />
