These tree species were present in the canopies of wooded areas and also <br /> as saplings and root suckers in wooded understories. Common buckthorn, glossy buckthorn, and <br /> honeysuckle were present in shrub layers. Invasive herbaceous plants observed were reed canary grass, <br /> smooth brome, hybrid cattails, purple loosestrife, Canada thistle, leafy spurge, creeping Charlie, and <br /> garlic mustard.
