General Athletic Field & Supply Analysis <br />1) The Consultant will conduct a general athletic field and supply analysis based upon <br />information provided by the athletic associations and city programs. This is to <br />determine general field usage and identify any major potential shortfalls for meeting <br />athletic demands. This general analysis is not intended to provide an in depth study <br />of field time or any detailed recommendations about athletic programming or <br />scheduling. <br />F. Park Dedication Review <br />1) The Consultant will undertake a review of the existing park dedication policies and <br />compare them to peer communities to identify any areas of significant discrepancies. <br />COMMUNITY ENAGAGEMENT <br />A. Project Steering Committee / Task Force <br />1) The Client will select a diverse group of approximately 8-10 members to be part of a <br />project steering committee to provide guidance, decision -making, and feedback <br />based on their background or perspectives throughout the course of the project. The <br />committee members will also interface with the greater community and their <br />associations, as applicable, to enhance awareness of the system planning process <br />and relay information back and forth. Up to three (3) meetings will be held to include: <br />a. Project Visioning: This meeting will be held to provide an overview of the <br />planning process, identify methods for the committee members to help raise <br />awareness of the project, identify primary project stakeholders to include in the <br />process, gather input and concerns related to the existing park system, establish <br />a draft set of project goals, and develop the framework for a project vision <br />statement. This will include a brief review of previous planning efforts, such as <br />the expansion of the community center. <br />b. Planning Findings, Goals & Objectives: This meeting will be held following the <br />completion of the needs analysis and community engagement efforts to review <br />over the primary public findings. The members will also finalize the project vision <br />and provide feedback on project goals and objectives. <br />c. Draft Park System Plan Recommendations: This meeting will focus on review of <br />the system plan recommendations for the parks, trails, and initial priorities in <br />order to develop strategies for implementation and development of the CIP. <br />B. Stakeholder Interviews <br />1) The Consultant will coordinate with the City to identify primary project stakeholders <br />that can provide greater insight into the park and trail system from varying <br />perspectives. This may include athletic associations, city staff, school district, Festival <br />in the Park members, Chamber of Commerce, watershed district, etc. The Consultant <br />will include one full day of in -person meetings for up to six (6) stakeholder groups, <br />each lasting approximately one hour. Additional meetings can be added to the scope <br />as needed. <br />C. Open House Meetings <br />1) The Consultant will facilitate up to three (3) public open house style meetings, as <br />follows: <br />a.
