RESOLUTION NO. 9885 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE HIRE OF ISABEL TORRES <br />TO THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved recruitment for the position of Police Officer in <br />the Police Department; and, <br />WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written examination, <br />training and experience scoring, oral interviews, physical agility testing, thorough background <br />investigation, physical examination, and psychological examination; and, <br />WHEREAS, a top candidate in the interview process was Isabel Torres; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Isabel Torres, and the Chief of <br />Police recommends that Isabel Torres be appointed to the position of Police Officer; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff requests to begin employment of Isabel Torres at a starting wage of 75% <br />top patrol rate. <br />2024 <br />Starting Wage <br />75% of Top Patrol Rate <br />After 12 Months <br />80% of Top Patrol Rate <br />After 24 Months <br />90% of Top Patrol Rate <br />After 36 Months <br />100% of Top Patrol Rate <br />$33.45 <br />$35.68 <br />$40.14 <br />$44.60 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby: <br />• Appoint Isabel Torres to the position of Police Officer <br />• Starting date to be March 18, 2024 <br />• Wage at the 75% top patrol rate of pay ($33.45/hour) as indicated in the Law <br />Enforcement Labor Services contract <br />Adopted this 11t" day of March, 2024. <br />Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nyle Zikmund, Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
