RESOLUTION NO. 9905 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE PROMOTION OF POLICE OFFICER SYDNEY DISON TO THE POSITION OF POLICE SERGEANT WHEREAS, the City Council approved the posting of the Police Sergeant position during the March 11, 2024 Council meeting; and WHEREAS, staff posted the internal job for the promotional opportunity and received three (3) applications and interviewed all candidates; WHEREAS, Officer Sydney Dison was selected for the promotion to Police Sergeant and successfully completed a hiring assessment; and WHEREAS, staff and the HR Committee support the selection of Officer Dison to the position of Police Sergeant, with a start date of April 22, 2024, with compensation following the LELS 232 Labor Agreement, beginning at Step 2 — 85%, advancing to Step 3 — 90% after successfully completing six -months in the Sergeant position (October 22, 2024); advancing to Step 4 — 95% one-year later (October 22, 2025); and advancing to Step 5 — 100% effective October 22, 2026, based on successful performance evaluations. 2024 LELS 232 Labor Contract Wages Ste 1 — 80% Step 2 — 85% Ste 3 — 90% Ste 4 — 95% Step 5 — 100% $44.61 $47.40 $50.18 $52.97 $55.76 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Officer Sydney Dison to the following: • Non -Exempt, Union, Police Sergeant position, effective April 22, 2024 • Starting wage of Step 2, $47.40/hour • Ability to advance to Step 3 — 90% after successfully completing six -months in the Sergeant position (October 22, 2024); advancing to Step 4 — 95% one-year later (October 22, 2025); and advancing to Step 5 — 100% effective October 22, 2026, based on successful performance evaluations Adopted this 22nd day of April, 2024.
