Mounds View City Council April 22, 2024 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />been submitted by the applicant noting he was asking to keep nine chickens. He reviewed the one <br />comment he received from a neighbor which had to do with noise. He commented on the request <br />further and recommended the Council hold a public hearing and approve the request. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Jamie Rattanapamonsook, 7880 Groveland Road, thanked the Council for considering her request. <br />She stated she was excited to have the opportunity to keep chickens. <br /> <br />Hearing no further public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 6:46 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9904, Approving <br />a Chicken-Keeping License for Jamie Rattanapamonsook, 7880 Groveland Road. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause discussed reasons for denying a chicken keeping license which <br />included having a lot that was too small or having a number of City Code violations. He stated <br />each of the applicants before the City Council at this meeting have properly sized lots and did not <br />have a history of City Code violations. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 9914, Approving the Evaluation of Storm Water Ponds Located on <br />Silver Lake Road and Woodcrest Drive (SC-2 P1 and SC-2 P2) by Stantec. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve the <br />evaluation of Storm Water Ponds located on Silver Lake Road and Woodcrest Drive. He explained <br />these two ponds were the next to be evaluated by Stantec. He reported Stantec would collect data, <br />complete public engagement, permits, upland vegetation management plan, design and <br />construction. He noted if dredging would be required, these plans would come to the City at a <br />future meeting. He commented further on the cost for the project and recommended approval. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9914, <br />Approving the Evaluation of Storm Water Ponds Located on Silver Lake Road and Woodcrest <br />Drive (SC-2 P1 and SC-2 P2) by Stantec. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 9911, Authorizing the Purchase of a F550 Service Truck and <br />Bucket Body Installation. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council authorize the <br />Purchase of a F550 Service Truck and Bucket Body Installation. He reported this truck would be <br />used by the street department. He discussed how purchasing from the State has become difficult <br />due to delays. He indicated staff had been looking for a used bucket truck, but had not found a cost <br />effective option. He explained staff received two bids for this purchase and recommended the <br />Council approve the purchase of a new cab and chassis with the reuse of the existing body and
