RESOLUTION NO. 9699 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />2023 FEE SCHEDULE REGARDING BUILDING PERMIT FEES AND SURCHARGES <br />WHEREAS, annual revisions and updates to the City of Mounds View Fee <br />Schedule are necessary; and <br />WHEREAS, often times the need arises to amend the fee schedule more than just <br />once a year; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View follows Minnesota State Statutes regarding <br />building permit fees and surcharges; <br />WHEREAS, the 2023 Fee Schedule references the 2020 State Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been a amendment in the 2022 State Statutes that would <br />change the amount of revenue generated by the City of Mounds View for building permit <br />fees and surcharges that are based on valuation, and <br />WHEREAS, the City could be subject to a considerable loss in revenue for the <br />year 2023 if we wait until the annual fee schedule amendment for 2024. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View does hereby approve the following amendment to the 2023 Fee schedule: <br />Appendix A — 2420 2022 MN State Statutes: 326B.153 Building Permit Fees <br />Appendix B — 2020 2022 MN State Statutes: 326B.148 Surcharge <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this fee schedule amendment will take effect <br />immediately. <br />Adopted this 13t" day of February, 2023. <br />Al Hull, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
