Long Lake Road <br />® Number of Crashes from 1/1/2000 to 12/31/2002 = 17 <br />• R.econn wended Improvements: <br />- Restripe Long Lake Road to create opposing left turn lanes. <br />- Restripe so that each approach leg on Long Lake Road becomes a single lane. <br />- Replace existing signal system <br />® Benefit vs. Cost Ratio = 3.10 <br />® Project Estimated Cost = $300,000 <br />- Federal funding requested = $270,000 <br />- Local match = $30,000 <br />Silver Lake Road/Red Oak Drive <br />• Number of Crashes from 1/I/2000 to 12/31/2002 = 13 <br />® Reconunended Improvements: <br />- Restripe Silver Lake R.oad/Red Oak Drive to create opposing left turn lanes. <br />- Restripe so that each approach leg on Silver Lake Road/Red Oak Drive becomes <br />a single lane. <br />- Replace existing signal system <br />® Benefit vs. Cost Ratio = 2.58 <br />® Project Estimated Cost = $300,000 <br />- Federal funding requested = $270,000 <br />- Local match = $30,000 <br />Transportation Enhancements Program (TE) <br />This program provides funding for transportation -related activities designed to strengthen the <br />cultural, aesthetic and environmental aspects of the nation's intermodal transportation system. <br />This program typically funds bicycle and pedesf ian facilities that improve safety, provide for - <br />educational opportunities, improve aesthetics and provide a connection to public facilities and <br />regional trail systems. <br />The County Road 10 Corridor Improvement Program is focusing on the development of a trail <br />system along both sides of the corridor. Due to the limitation of TE funding, it would not be <br />possible to receive enough funding to construct the entire trail along both sides of the corridor in <br />a single project. Working with City staff, the most beneficial segments of trail were identified <br />and were included in the funding application.
