Also, <br />the City would pay only for work actually done, and <br />would pay for any additional work, or subtract for <br />any work taken out. It would take 60-90 days for <br />completion of the study. <br />Motion/Second: Paone/Quick to approve the staff <br />recommendation of Short, Elliott, Hendrickson <br />for the New Highway 10 Airport Road accesses <br />traffic study, and they can proceed with obtaining <br />information for the May 7 meeting. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />It was noted this item would be placed on the <br />May 7 agenda. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley stated Staff needs a <br />clarification of access on the Airport Road, per <br />the resolution made at the April 9 meeting. <br />P~ayor Nanl<ner explained the rel ati onshi p of the <br />airport road to the traffic study. If the study <br />shows a probler,~, a decision would then be made to <br />not pint in the airport road. If the road is put in, <br />%'lounds Vi e4v woul d have control over `the i ntergovern- <br />men ~.a 1 aareers~eni: _ _ _ <br />Duane McCarty questioned if the Planning Commission <br />adopted a resolution of recommendation to the <br />Council. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley replied they did not, <br />rather presented goals. <br />Mayor Hankner explained they were asked for their <br />review and comments, which they gave. <br />Mr. McCarty noted State law leaves the setting of <br />speed limits to the Commissioner of Highways, and <br />he is not sure the City could control it. He <br />added he also feels there may be problems with <br />the restriction of roads. He added this is a matter <br />of long standing policy and procedure, and he <br />recommended going with the traffic study first. <br />Motion Carried <br />11.
