Mounds View City Council Page Eleven <br />�egular Meeting June 28, 1993 <br />D. Mike U2rich, Public Works Supervisor, reviewed Staff Report No. <br />93-545C regarding the bid award for controls for Treatment Plants <br />2 and 3. Ulrich reported that on June 17, 1993, staff received <br />a quote for revisions to the control systems for water treatment <br />plants 2 and 3 from Autocon Industries. Ulrich further reported <br />to maintain compatibility with the City's current control system, <br />this equipment was not open to competitive bidding. Four years <br />ago when the new system was bid, it was open for competitive bidding. <br />Ulrich stated that this quote was referred to SEH's electrical <br />engineer for review and the engineer's findings were that the prices <br />for modification and new equipment were within competitive markets. <br />Ulrich noted that since this is a sole source bid, a resolution stating <br />such must accompany this award. Mayor Linke congratulated the Irondale Marching Band on winning <br />several awards while competing in the Alexandria competitions last <br />weekend. Linke reported that this is the third year that the <br />Irondale Band has swept all categories. Linke further reported <br />that there were bands competing from Iowa, Minnesota and South <br />Dakota. <br />� Councilmember Quick asked if there were many seniors in the band. <br />
