The. only requirement is that the city providing the water and the main source inform the "jurisdictional" city that the connection will be made. Orduno explained that in order to assure both cities that the State is performing as agreed upon informally, an Agreement was drafted jointly by the attorneys of both cities and addresses the concerns of Arden Hills that in the future, the State (if funding is received) connect to Arden Hills water source. Arden Hills also wants to be notified on a yearly basis as to how much water the State is purchasing from Mounds View. The agreement also protects both cities from construction liabilities and provides for appropriate compliance regulations. The agreement has already been approved by Arden Hills and our attorney has signed off on the Agreement. Consideration of Authorizina Execution of Purchase Aareements_for Golf • Course Properties Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Report No. 93-647C regarding the authorization for execution of the purchase agreements for the golf course properties. Orduno stated that these purchase agreements would be finalized within the next couple of days. Orduno reported that the total land acquisition price for Lot 16, Blaine North Star Industrial Park and Doug Watson's property is $561,109.74. Orduno further reported that in addition to the land, the City will pay the pro-rated taxes on Lot 16 from September 20, 1993 to the end of the year and as per State law, the City will be responsible for the taxes on all the properties for 1994. Orduno reported that the land acquisition costs will be funded out of the proposed Revenue Bond, .the taxes will be paid out of the Golf Course Development Fund and proceeds from the Revenue Bond. Orduno added that she had spoken with a representative from Springsted, the City's bond counsel, and that Springsted will bring the bond documents to the first work session in November and hopefully, get them approved at the second meeting in November. After approval bonds can be negotiated and sold and the proceeds could be in the hands of the City by December 1st.
