Approve Resolution No. 4069 Relating to the Issuance of <br />Certain General Obligation Bonds for Fire Protection <br />Purposes and Levying Taxes for the City's Share Thereof <br />Finance Director Don Brager informed the Council that <br />the City's share of the issue is $1,012,375. <br />Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road had many questions <br />regarding sewer bonds that were sold 30 years <br />ago and the City's charging over the percentage rate <br />quoted to residents by 2-5~. One concern was the <br />disposition of the surplus monies, are they ever returned <br />to the residents. <br />Finance Director Don Brager and Mr. Ron Langness from <br />Springsted, the City's financial consultant responded to <br />Mr. Frits' questions. The explanation was that <br />.whether it was special assessments or property <br />taxes the state statutes require that the Cities <br />levy more than the annual debt service to allow <br />for delinquent taxes. <br />
