7~!ounds <br />View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />July 8, 1991 <br />Page Seven <br />Councilmember Rickaby: Commended the Environmental Quality Task <br />Force for their insert in the City Newsletter. Rickaby <br />stated that more people are needed on the Environmental <br />Quality Task Force. <br />Councilmember Wuori: Some of the previous members of the <br />Task Force should be contacted to see if they would like <br />to recommit themselves to this Task Force. This Task Force is <br />empowered to have 7 members and there are two members at the <br />present time. <br />Wuori also announced the production of "My Fair Lady" being <br />produced by the Irondale Community Theater. The dates for this <br />production are July 26, 27, 28, and August 1, 2 3, and 4. <br />Tickets can be purchased from the Park and Recreation Department <br />at City Hall. City Hall is open Monday thru Thursday until 5:30 <br />p.m. and Friday until 4:30 p.m. <br />Councilmember uick: No report. <br /> <br />Report of Mayor Linke: <br />1. Congratulations to Samantha Orduno, Mounds View City <br />Administrator, on her appointment to the Pipeline Safety <br />Advisory Commission. <br />2. Some news regarding the Irondale Marching Band: <br />- Two weeks ago in Grand Rapids and Alexandria <br />the Irondale Marching Band won grand champion <br />awards. <br />- The 4th of July this band took first place in <br />Albert Lea. <br />- The Irondale Marching Band has been invited to play the <br />National Anthem for the Twin's game this Thursday, <br />July 11th. <br />- The Irondale Marching Band will play in the American <br />Legion Parade in Duluth and in the Aqatennial Grand Day <br />Parade on Saturday and the Torchlight Parade the <br />following Wednesday. <br />Report of Administrator: <br />i 1.
