Mounds View City Council Page Five <br />~egular Meeting December 28, 1992 <br />Councilmember Blanchard asked that, for the general public, this <br />project be briefly reviewed at this time. <br />Tim Cruikshank stated that this system consists of new phone units <br />for staff systems and a central system that dispatches phone calls <br />when they come in. This system will enable City Hall to be a better <br />communicator. Public Works will have their own phone number as well <br />as Park, Recreation and Forestry. The groundwork for this project was <br />performed by a group of city employees approximately one year ago. The <br />telephone committee surveyed the needs of the staff and had vendors <br />come in to demonstrate their systems for the group. <br />Orduno commended the telephone committee for their work commenting <br />that this was a year long process. Orduno stated that-the <br />committee did an outstanding job in their research and <br />recommendation. This project started in July of 1991. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Rickaby to accept the bid of $18,522 from <br />Executone for a Telecommunication System for City Hall <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />~. Orduno reviewed Staff Report 92-444C in conjunction with in Item A. <br />above regarding the approval of a budget amendment to carry over budget <br />capital expenditure for new telecommunication system for City Hall. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Wuori to adopt Resolution No. 4324 <br />Approving Budget Amendment to Carryover Budget Capital <br />Expenditure for New Telecommunication System for City Hall <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />C. Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer, reviewed <br />Staff Report No. 92-445C regarding Resolution No. 4323 Authorizing <br />City Staff to Enter into a Development Agreement with Keith Harstad for <br />the Greenfield Estates Project. Minetor stated that Mr. Harstad made <br />payment to the City for all outstanding fees remaining from the review <br />process of the Greenfield Estates development. Minetor stated that <br />staff had provided a draft copy of the Development Agreement to the <br />representatives of Mr. Harstad for their review and passed out a draft <br />copy of this development agreement to the Council at this time. <br />Minetor further stated that the City Attorney will be reviewing this <br />document. The development agreement is basically a contract that <br />protects all of the City's interests with regard to this development. <br />Councilmember Rickaby stated that she would have liked to have a copy <br />of the draft in final form to prepare for her vote on the issue. <br />
