Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer reviewed <br />Setting Public Hearings for Saturn Car Dealership and A Planned <br />Unit Development for Mounds View Business Park for February 24 <br />at 7:05 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. respectively. Minetor stated that <br />the Planning Commission at their February 5, 1992 meeting, requested by <br />motion that the City Council set public hearing dates at their <br />February 10 meeting for the above referenced items. Minetor <br />stated that this request was made in response to the applicants <br />request that any actions which could be taken to expedite the <br />processing of the applications be considered. Minetor further stated <br />that recommendations from the Planning Commission on these two items <br />will be provided to the Council prior to the public hearing date. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Rickaby to Set Public Hearings <br />for Monday, February 24, 1992 at 7:05 and at 7:10 for Saturn <br />Car Dealership and A Planned Unit Development for Mounds <br />View Business Park South <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMEMBERS <br />Councilmember Wuori - Congratulated the Finance Department for <br />a top .notch jab and commented on the number of plaques on the wall in <br />the Council Chambers received as Budget Awards. <br />Councilmember Ouick - No report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard - No report. <br />Councilmember Rickaby - Commended Michele Severson for work she <br />accomplished on doing some research on ways to save money regarding <br />elections. Commended Don Brager on his receipt of the 1991 Budget <br />Award. Commended staff for recommending refurbishment of City Hall <br />rather than the expensive expansion project that the budget would <br />not be able to handle at this time. <br />REFORT OF MAYOR LINKE <br />Mayor Linke stated that he had been appointed to the Ramsey <br />County Local Government Services Study Commission to study possible <br />consolidation or cooperation efforts.
