Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Resolution No. 4242 <br />Authorizing the Appointment of James Thompson of Holmes and Graven, <br />Chartered as City Attorney. Orduno explained that in recent years <br />the legal issues facing the City have become more complex, requiring a <br />diverse legal perspective and timely resolution to problems presented <br />to the City. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Rickaby to adopt Resolution No. 4242 Authorizing <br />the Appointment of James Thompson of Holmes and Graven, Chartered <br />as City Attorney <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />5. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator reviewed the staff report <br />regarding the appointment of Josey Warren to the Environmental <br />Quality Task Force. Orduno stated that Ms. Warren was in <br />attendance at this meeting earlier and had voiced concerns about <br />organized collection. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Rickaby to Appoint Josey Warren to the <br />Environmental Quality Task Force <br />• VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />6. Carla Asleson, Recycling Coordinator, reviewed Staff Report <br />No. 92-301C regarding the change in definition of recyclable <br />.materials, Chapter 104.01 of the Mounds View Municipal Code. <br />Asleson stated that the Environmental Quality Task Force <br />recommended that the City Council amend that section of the <br />City Code which defines recyclable materials because since <br />the code was written the recycling industry has made it possible <br />to recycle additional items such as tin, plastics and office <br />paper. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to waive the first reading of Ordinance <br />No. 512 and schedule the second reading and action for June 22, <br />1992 <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />REPORTS: <br />1.
