He noted Xcel Energy was offering 60% grants to <br /> assist with improvements. <br /> Acting Mayor Mueller inquired if the study would have specific requirements or cost saving <br /> estimates to assure there would be value added to the Community Center. Public Works Director <br /> DeBar noted cost savings ratios would be written into the study. He stated at this time, the <br /> building was not functioning well, and Staff was working to improve the situation. <br /> Council Member Stigney suggested that Xcel Energy make assurances on their promises of <br /> energy savings or cost reductions. This would assure the City sees the benefits promised. <br /> Council Member Gunn questioned if the study was similar to an energy audit. Public Works <br /> Director DeBar stated this was similar except on a much larger more complex scale. <br /> Ayes—3 Nays— 1 (Stigney) Motion carried. <br /> 8. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> Council Member Gunn reported the City lost a long time resident, Jerry Skelly, and explained he <br /> would be dearly missed. She indicated Mr. Skelly was very active in the community with the <br /> • local cable station. She noted the details for his funeral would be in the paper on January 24`h <br /> She expressed her deepest sympathies to the Skelly family. <br />
