Mounds View City Council September 26, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 35 <br />Councilmember Stigney asked if Council will have access to the Community Center to pick up <br />meeting packets. City Administrator Ulrich stated there are some extended hours so mailboxes <br />could be considered. Director Ericson suggested Staff explore the temporary option of delivering <br />meeting packets. <br />Mayor Marty asked whether all of the telephone numbers will remain the same. City <br />Administrator Ulrich answered in the affirmative. <br />2. Update of The Bridges of Mounds View Golf Course Auction <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated questions were raised about the auction process at the last <br />meeting. He explained bidding "by choice" on like items so the winning bidder will have choice <br />to purchase all like golf carts for the same price as the first. Reserve bids will be used sparingly <br />and on two items identified as high valued items. He advised that the buildings will be sold in- <br />place and 90 days will be available to remove large buildings. Inspection will be allowed starting <br />at noon the day before and 8:00 a.m. the day of the auction. <br />Councilmember Stigney asked about bidding by choice and noted they can buy as many or all, <br />not just all. City Administrator Ulrich stated that is correct. <br />3. Active Living Ramsey County Meeting <br />• Ci Administrator Ulrich reminded the Council of the Active Livin Ramse Coun meetin <br />tY g Y tY g <br />that will be held this Thursday, September 29, 2005, at 4:30 p.m., at the New Brighton Family <br />Service Center. There will be some national speakers to address improving walkability <br />throughout the community and it is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield. <br />4. Cable Broadcast Problems <br />Councilmember Thomas stated the cable broadcast has been problematic and formally requested <br />an official report on what is the problem and how it can be .fixed. She stated she has found it <br />extremely frustrating to turn on the channel and find only a black screen. <br />Mayor Marry asked about the process for hiring a cable replacement. City Administrator Ulrich <br />stated Staff is in the process of wrapping up the applications. He stated he is exploring .the <br />option of sharing this position with New Brighton where each City would have one-half of a <br />position. The Cable Commission will look at applications in early October and put forward an <br />offer for the position in mid-October. <br />Mayor Marty suggested a joint position with Mounds View, New Brighton, and Arden Hills. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated he will look into that option. <br />LJ <br />
