Mounds View City Council April 13, 2009 <br />Regular Meeting Page 12 <br />• <br />L. Resolution 7434, Designating the 2008 Mounds View Citizenship Award. <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane reviewed that two nominations had been made and it was <br />Council's consensus to award Barbara Haake with the 2008 Mounds View Citizenship Award. <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane read the resolution in full. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7434, <br />Designating the 2008 Mounds View Citizenship Award. <br />Mayor Flaherty stated this is awell-deserved award for Ms. Haake. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />M. Resolution 7441, Adding Fees to the 2009 Mounds View Fee Schedule. <br /> <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane presented staff's recommendation to add two fees to the <br />schedule, one related to a refundable $250 deposit for an Outdoor Special Events permit and the <br />other a $50 fee for filing to request an Administrative Hearing for nuisance based code <br />violations. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7441, <br />Revising the 2009 Fee Schedule. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />N. Resolution 7435, Approving a Step Increase for James Ericson, Clerk- <br />Administrator. <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane presented staff's recommendation for a step increase for <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson based on the Council's review and finding he has satisfactorily <br />performed in the capacity of his position and consistent with the Employment Agreement on file. <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane read the resolution in full. <br />Mayor Flaherty stated the Council held a closed session to review the performance of James <br />Ericson in his capacity as Clerk-Administrator. The Council's unanimous consensus was that <br />Mr. Ericson is doing a wonderful job in how he conducts himself professionally and as a co- <br />worker. <br />Council Member Stigney noted Mr. Ericson's supervisor is actually the City Council. <br />Council consensus was reached to amend the resolution to change the word "supervisor" to "the <br />City Council" and the word "water" to "wage." <br />
