He further <br />said that the current contractors are not performing up to the contract requirements. <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether there is a time limit on the contract. Resolution 7242 Awarding a Contract for the Purchase of an Emergency <br />Management Generator <br />Public Works Director Lee explained that this generator would operate all necessary equipment <br />in the event of an emergency. The low bid was $83,125.61 and neither bidder bid on sound <br />attenuation. Staff conducted sound readings to determine the potential impact. He then said that <br />three months out of the year the generator would be stored at Well No. 3 to allow it to be used for <br />peak energy times. He then said that 65 decibels should not be an issue but said that screening <br />would be recommended for aesthetics and to help with the sound. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7242 <br />Awarding a Contract for the Purchase of an Emergency Management Generator. <br />• Council Member Stigney indicated that the original engineer's estimate was for $73,000 and the <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />recommendation is $83,125.61. Director Lee explained that the engineer's estimate was for a <br />base generator. The generator that Staff recommended runs three voltages and includes all the <br />cables so it would be able to operate at City Hall, lift stations, and wells. This equipment would <br />be able to be used as a stand alone power source at Festival in the Park as it has outlets to plug <br />into as well. <br />E. Resolution 7248 Longevity Increase for Police Officers Timothy Wolf and <br />Keith Demarest. <br />Assistant Administrator Crane recommended approval of the longevity increase for Officers <br />Wolf and Demarest. She then read Resolution 7248. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Approve Resolution 7248, Longevity Increase for <br />Police Officers Timothy Wolf and Keith Demarest. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Council Member Stigney asked a question about the previous item regarding the specs on the <br />report for the generator, as it did not state that there was110. Director Lee indicated that the <br />generator would include 110. <br />
